I love the “Live Chat” option on service providers websites. I am not a big fan of talking on the phone, or being on hold on the phone. And if DD is sleeping, I don’t want to risk waking her by talking on the phone. And if she’s awake, it’s too distracting to try to talk on the phone while she is in the room with me.
I am happy for the option to email a service provider, but you never know when you’ll hear back from them, or if their response will go to your junk mail folder. Or if you’ll have to email back and forth several times before your real question is answered to your satisfaction.
With Live Chat, you can get an answer within minutes. And you don’t have to hurriedly scribble the answer down on a piece of paper while cradling your cell phone on your neck. You have the answer on the screen in front of you. Which I like to copy and paste into a Word document so I can reference it whenever I need to.
